At our recent function at Green Acres Golf Club, apart from the entertainment that we had from big personalities such as Kevin Sheedy, Billy Brownless, Sam Pang and even our own Gareth Andrews and Rodney Hogg, the night was stolen by a short introduction to the night from Robyn Smith, who is CEO of Sport Inclusion Australia. Robyn's short speech, captured the 120+ attendees attention and imagination and was constantly referred to by all throughout the night, particularly for the way in which it gave insight into the impact of why the Taverners exist and why we do what we do.

Robyn has been working with Sport Inclusion Australia, formerly AUSRAPID, since 1991 and is often asked why she hasn't changed jobs in that period, she usually explains to people that "when you find a job that provides you daily enjoyment and life satisfaction and meets your life philosophy, why would change jobs. I Love my job".  Sport Inclusion's philosophy is to assist people with an intellectual disability to join the mainstream community as a valued member using sport as the medium, and Robyn is "passionate" about the philosophy and being able to implement this.

We would like to share some of that speech with you, so that you can connect with those that we seek to support, click here to read this speech and understand the impact that Sport Inclusion Australia and The Lord's Taverners Australia make on the life of many young people in the community.
