Membership
Membership is open to all persons of good character who support the aims and objectives of Taverners Australia, who remains registered as Lord's Taverners Australia.
Membership is approved and administered by the Branches and members are thus referred to as “a member of Taverners Australia, Victoria Branch".
A Branch may offer Honorary Life Membership to a member who has made an outstanding contribution to the aims and objectives of the Club through that Branch.
The Victorian Lord's Taverners Life Members are Keith Burnham (elected 2000), Sheila Scotter AM MBE (elected 2001), Jim Thompson OAM (elected 2004), John MacKinnon (elected 2009), Peta Phillips (elected 2010), Carolyn Johnson (elected 2018), Ian Crawford (elected 2018) and Kevan Carroll (2018).
Similarly, in exceptional cases, the National Council may confer Honorary Life Membership on an individual it collectively considers to have made an outstanding contribution to the Club as a whole.
Members receive invitations to fundraising and cricketing events, Branch Newsletters and other communications. Additionally they receive a copy of our annual national magazine, "The Taverner" which describes the various activities of both the national and state bodies.
