Over 200 Taverners Members and guests packed the Yarra Park Room for an outstanding Boxing Day Test Breakfast function at the MCG. With unprecedented demand for one of the most anticipated Test series in years, a large contingent of Melbourne's  Indian cricket loving community provided a welcome boost to the room.

Under the guidance of our master MC, Ron Steiner, Special Guest Jim Maxwell, ABC Radio chief cricket commentator, Australian Sports Hall of Fame Member and President of The Primary Club of Australia, had the room entranced for close to an hour. Jim also signed copies of his latest book, an autobiography "The Sounds of Summer",  which were auctioned off along with eight AUS v IND Test Series 2024/25 Caps signed by the Australian Men's Test Team. Other signed cricket memorabilia from Bradman, Kapil Dev, Ravi Shastri, V.V.S. Laxman, Aussie men's and women's ODI shirts and Peter Siddle Hat trick Stumps were also snapped up by eager bidders.

The morning also included interviews with two MAACA All Abilities cricketers, the first being Vikram Jholl from Moorabbin CC, who was the catalyst to the formation of the Melbourne All Abilities Cricket Association fifteen years ago. The other guest was Dennis Wilkinson from Seddon CC, who had made a recent comeback after a long lay-off due to personal well-being issues. Seddon is proud to feature three teams in MAACA across all divisions.
